Pet Portrait: Tux the Great Dane

Meet Tux, a very caring Great Dane who I am sure spends loads of time helping his mom out at Forever Friends Great Dane Rescue, Inc. And when he's resting post his volunteer work, please, please tell me he thinks he's a lap dog! How there is not a Tumblr page dedicated to photos of Great Danes smashing their owners into the couch baffles me.

Also, I thought I would share a link to a story that has been going around recently about a Great Dane service dog who helps his 11 year old girl combat her mobility struggles. I love the photos of Bella leaning on George for support as they walk together! Click here for that.

Guess it's safe to say plenty of members of the breed have definitely earned the "Great" in their name, albeit for vastly different reasons.
