Pet Portrait: Dexter the Lab / Border Collie Mix

Dexter the Lab / Border Collie Mix (Colored Pencil - 2013)

Meet Dexter, a 6 month old (as of yesterday!) Lab / Border Collie mix.  I tried to convince my friend that with Halloween coming up it would be precious to dress him up in a smock like Showtime's Dexter, scalpel and all, but she was not convinced this would make a decent portrait.  Maybe next time...

Up Next:  1 portrait down, 5 more to go before Christmas (unless someone else is looking for a present!).  I'm thinking of tackling the two portraits of children on my to do list to mix it up before heading back to the 3 portraits of dogs coming up.
