Time Spent:  17 hours 30 minutes

Drawing Difficulties:  I've had to manipulate the color of a reference pictures provided before due to shadow and things of that nature, but I'd have to say that Brutus was the most challenging yet.  The photo was taken on a flip phone in low light, and even when I did change the exposure and contrast the quality of what I was working with wasn't the best.  Especially because his eyes and muzzle were mostly in shadow.  Unfortunately Brutus is no longer around and there were only so many photos of him to work off of, so I had to look at other images of mastiff's just to get a general idea of how their faces are laid out, so hopefully my guesses about Brutus' appearance were more than close.  Especially his eyes.

Up Next:  Right now I am working on my next Couple's Counseling about the importance of recycling, as well as continuing work on illustrations for a book.

Until Next Time! Lauren H.
