Pet Portrait: [Redacted] the Beagle Mix

So here’s the thing, a lot of the time the portraits I draw are commissioned as gifts for others by those who might not actually spend a ton of time with the subject of the drawing. Most of the time that means that I have to guess the breed of the dog (which I did here), but this is definitely the first time the name of the pet is unknown. So instead of pulling a “this dog looks like a… Stuart?” I’m going to go with an elaborate lie of espionage in which this best bud is deep undercover as the very best boy/girl that any family could ever ask for, leaving their true identity as a huge mystery. Is this ridiculous? Yes. Am I going to replace this paragraph with something less idiotic? Absolutely not.

That said, if you’d like to guess this dog’s name then I’ll gladly take suggestions in the comments down below.

Time-Lapse Video: Coming soon!

Time Spent: I kid you not, the note with my times written on it disappeared from my phone as I was staring at it and I cannot figure out what the heck happened to it. It’s just gone. Almost as if it was redacted right in front of my eyes. The espionage conspiracy grows!

Up Next: I actually used this smaller portrait as a sanity break between the two identical 11x14” portraits of Billy the Miniature Pinscher (not that I didn’t love staring at his face, it’s just that my brain felt like I’d made zero progress having to “start all over” with a second portrait, and that was making me antsy because brains are dumb). I’ll be posting him in the next couple days, so keep an eye out!

Until next time!
