Pet Portrait: Lady the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Lady Small.jpg

Meet Lady, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. As someone with a dog that was originally named Sassy (now Reagan), I would love to know if this little girl lived up to the name she was given. I know my beagle mix sure has some... we'll call it spunk.

Original Photo: I lightened this pic up overall since Lady is sitting in the shadows inside the car, which is why the colors are so different in the drawing that in the original photo I was given. I may be colorblind, but I'm not THAT colorblind. Also, I had to make up the outer section of her left ear, which I was definitely nervous about doing. Hopefully it turned out ok!

(FYI - I grid out my drawings to help layout the composition for the portrait on the page, so that's what those 1x1" green squares are on the edited image.)

Progress Pics:

Time Spent: 20 hours and 15 minutes

Up Next: I have 3 portraits lined up to finish before Christmas, so now that all the wedding prep is over I can get back to it! I have to double check, but I'm pretty sure I can post progress pics of them too, so things should finally be getting back to normal over on my Facebook page that has been severely lacking in new content for a while now.

Until next time! Lauren H.
